Assistant Waiter/Waitress
Job Description
As an Assistant Waiter/Waiter, you will assist a waiter with the food and beverage service of a designated station/team in the restaurants or bars, providing guests with courteous and professional service, creating a pleasant atmosphere, and enhancing the overall experience by anticipating guest needs.
What you’ll do
· General assistance to Waiters in the service of food and beverages to guests
· Clean, organize and maintain designated service station
· Remove dishes, glassware, and cutlery from guests’ tables
· Fill salt, pepper, sugar, and condiment containers
· Prepare mise-en-place to ensure that the station is ready when required
· Provide attentive and personalized service to ensure that guest requests are fulfilled promptly
· Inform the Waiters about any event that may occur during the service time or request from the guests that need special attention
· General assistance in setting up tables, including linens, silverware, and glassware
· Room service and table-side service
· Polish glassware, cutlery and flatware
· Maintain clean and orderly tables and station
What we are looking for
· Previous relevant work experience, preferably in a 5* hotel environment
· Excellent knowledge of the English language
· Attentiveness and patience for customers
· Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
· Active listening and effective communication skills
· Team spirit
