The “Adama” project is implemented by CRS Greece in partnership with UNHCR and aspires to link asylum seekers and beneficiaries of international protection with job opportunities (“Service”).

These Terms of Use should be read in conjunction with the Privacy Policy and the Cookies Policy, as published on the online platform Adama Job Center and apply to all persons using Adama Job Center (hereinafter referred to as “Users”), and more specifically:

  1. Persons accorded international protection in Greece i.e., Beneficiaries of International Protection (from now on referred to as “Jobseekers”)
  2. Physical or legal persons registering on Adama Job Center as employers (from now on referred to as “Employers”).

This website is mainly operated by Catholic Relief Services Greece, based at Solonos 75, Athens, Greece, P.C. 10679 (hereinafter referred to as “CRS” or “the Organization”) on behalf of all the project’s partners.  Throughout the website, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the Organization as well. To facilitate jobseekers and employers (collectively “Users”) CRS has created this website/platform adamajobcenter.crs.org (“Website” or “Platform”) known as Adama Job Center.

The Organization offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this website to you, the Users, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies, and notices stated here.

By visiting our website, you engage in our “Service” as described above and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Use”, “Terms”). These Terms apply to all Users of the website, including without limitation users who are not registered to the services but are browsers, researchers, project owners, stakeholders and/or contributors of content.

Please read these Terms carefully before accessing, browsing through, or using our website. By accessing or using any part of the website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions, then you may not access the website or use any of its Services.

Any new features or tools which are added to the current website shall also be subject to the Terms of Use. We may make changes to these Terms from time to time. We may do this for a variety of reasons including to reflect changes in law requirements, new features, or changes in project practices. The most recent version of these Terms will be posted on the relevant section of the website. You should regularly check for the most recent version, which is the one that applies. If the changes include material changes that affect your rights or obligations, we will notify you in advance of the changes by reasonable means, which could include notification through the website. If you continue to use the Services after the changes become effective, then you agree to the revised Terms.

  1. WEBSITE TERMS

By agreeing to these Terms, you represent that you are at least of the age of majority in the country, state or province of residence. You also represent that you have the capacity to perform legal acts in your country, state or province of residence. You may not use our website for any illegal or unauthorized purpose nor may you, in the use of the Service, violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws).

A breach or violation of any of the Terms will result in an immediate termination of the Services provided to you by CRS.

These Terms, along with the Privacy Policy and the Cookies policy constitute our agreement with you as a whole for the Use of the website.

  1. THE SERVICE

The Website allows Employers to register on the platform, create and publish a company/organization profile and post job vacancies. Jobseekers may also register and create a profile on the Website in order to  apply in response to vacancies listed by employers on the platform, participate in training events and access educational and information material posted in the portal. Any employment relation/contract shall be agreed and concluded exclusively between Jobseekers and Employers and the Website will not be in any way part of this contract. Adama Job Center has no influence on the conditions, the content and the outcome of employment relations.

  1. GENERAL CONDITIONS

We reserve the right to refuse Service to anyone for any reason at any time, particularly if it does not comply with the present Terms of Use. You understand that your content, may be transferred unencrypted and involve (a) transmissions over various networks; and (b) changes to conform and adapt to technical requirements of connecting networks or devices. You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any part of the Service, use of the Service, or access to the Service or any contact on the website through which the service is provided, without express written permission by us. The headings used in this Terms are included for convenience only and will not limit or otherwise affect these Terms.

  1. FEES

Access and use of the platform is free of charge. No User, individual or organization is authorized to charge you any fees or solicit favors of any kind in order to help you to register with or use the platform.

  1. ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS AND TIMELINESS OF INFORMATION

We are not responsible if information made available on this website is not accurate, complete or current. The material on this website is provided for information only and should not be used as the sole basis for making decisions. Moreover Users are responsible for the accuracy of their personal/ company information they submit to website, as stated also in 10.3. Any reliance on the information on this website is at your own risk CRS will not edit any profile but will delete any profiles or applications that violate in any way these Terms of Use.

  1. RIGHTS THE ORGANIZATION GRANTS YOU UNDER CONDITIONS

The Organization grants you a personal, worldwide, royalty-free, non-assignable, nonexclusive, revocable, and non-sublicensable license to access and use the Services. This license is for the sole purpose of letting you use and enjoy the Services’ benefits as intended by the Organization and its partners and permitted by these Terms. Therefore, you agree not to:

  • use the Services or any content contained in the Services for any commercial purposes without our written consent.
  • copy, modify, transmit, create any derivative works from, make use of, or reproduce in any way any copyrighted material, images, trademarks, trade names, service marks, or other intellectual property, content or proprietary information accessible through the Services without our prior written consent.
  • express or imply that any statements you make are endorsed by the Company and its partners.
  • use the Services in any way that could interfere with, disrupt or negatively affect the Services or the servers or networks connected to the Services.
  • upload viruses or other malicious code of a destructive nature or otherwise compromise the security of the Services.
  • “frame” or “mirror” any part of the Services without the Company’s prior written authorization.
  • use meta tags or code or other devices containing any reference to the Company or the Services (or any trademark, trade name, service mark, logo or slogan of the Company) to direct any person to any other website for any purpose, without our consent.
  • modify, adapt, sublicense, translate, sell, reverse engineer, decipher, decompile or otherwise disassemble any portion of the Services, or cause others to do so.
  • probe, scan or test the vulnerability of our Services or any system or network.
  • encourage or promote any activity that violates these Terms.

We may investigate and take any available legal action in response to illegal and/ or unauthorized uses of the Services, including termination of the provision of Services to you.

  1. USER COMMENTS, FEEDBACK AND OTHER SUBMISSIONS

If, at our request, you send certain specific submissions (for example job postings or feedback) or without a request from us you send creative ideas, suggestions, proposals, plans, or other materials, whether online, by email, or otherwise (collectively, ‘comments’), you agree that we may, at any time, without restriction, edit, copy, publish, distribute, translate and otherwise use in any medium any comments that you forward to us. We are and shall be under no obligation (1) to maintain any comments in confidence; (2) to pay compensation for any comments; or (3) to respond to any comments.

We may, but have no obligation to, monitor, edit or remove content that we determine in our sole discretion as unlawful, offensive, threatening, libelous, defamatory, pornographic, obscene or otherwise objectionable or that it violates any party’s intellectual property or these Terms of Use. You agree that your comments will not violate any right of any third-party, including copyright, trademark, privacy, personality or other personal or proprietary rights. You further agree that your comments will not contain libelous or otherwise unlawful, abusive or obscene material, or contain any computer virus or other malware that could in any way affect the operation of the Service or any related website. You may not use a false e-mail address, pretend to be someone other than yourself, or otherwise mislead us or third-parties as to the origin of any comments. You are solely responsible for any comments you make and their accuracy. We take no responsibility and assume no liability for any comments posted by you or any third-party.

The Organization may use all communication means (as email etc.) in order to get feedback for its Services.

  1. ERRORS, INACCURACIES AND OMISSIONS

Occasionally there may be information on our website or in the Service that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to descriptions, dates, years, locations etc. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions, and to change or update information, if any information in the Service or on any related website is inaccurate at any time without prior notice.

We undertake no obligation to update, amend or clarify information in the Service or on any related website, except as required by law. No specified update or refresh date applied in the Service or on any related website, should be taken to indicate that all information in the Service or on any related website has been modified or updated.

In addition to other prohibitions as set forth in the Terms of Use, you are prohibited from using the website or its content: (a) for any unlawful purpose; (b) to solicit others to perform or participate in any unlawful acts; (c) to violate any international, national, federal, provincial or state regulations, rules, laws, or local ordinances; (d) to infringe upon or violate our intellectual property rights or the intellectual property rights of others; (e) to harass, abuse, insult, harm, defame, slander, disparage, intimidate, or discriminate based on gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, race, age, national origin, or disability; (f) to submit information that is deceitful, offensive or falls outside the scope of this website or are in any way false or misleading; (g) to upload or transmit viruses or any other type of malicious code that will or may be used in any way that will affect the functionality or operation of the Service or of any related website, other websites, or the Internet; (h) to collect or track the personal information of others; (i) to spam, phish, pharm, pretext, spider, crawl, or scrape; (j) for any obscene or immoral purpose; or (k) to interfere with or circumvent the security features of the Service or any related website, other websites, or the Internet. We reserve the right to terminate your use of the Service or any related website for violating any of the prohibited uses and seek for further legal remedies.

  1. USER-SPECIFICIFIC TERMS

10.1 REGISTRATION

All Users must register to use the Services. A valid email address is required.  Users must review and accept the Terms of Use as well as the Privacy Policy before registering. Registration creates a legal relationship, governed by the present Terms of Use.

10.2 USERS’ VETTING

Once a User completes the registration process, the next step is to create their profile by entering the required information according to its status (jobseeker or employer). The respective templates have fields that are mandatory and others that are optional. For employers, job postings are published only after CRS  partners have confirmed the identity of the company and its valid registration. CRS does not vet jobseeker profiles. If a User edits or deletes its profile on the Website, this updated information goes through the same process.

10.3 DUTY OF TRUTH

The Users hereby guarantee to provide correct and true information on the website, particularly regarding the information disclosed on his/her/its profile. CRS is under no obligation to verify the information provided by the User and is not liable or accountable for any illegal content or wrongful information on the platform. If authentication of the information provided upon registration by the User is not possible or proved untrue during the vetting as stated in 10.2, CRS will not allow the posting of any job openings and also retains the right  to delete the profile of the User altogether.

10.4 PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION

The personal data that Users share with the website in order to register for its Services follow the principles of data protection and the requirements of the applicable legislation. For further information about data protection and processing through the Service please read our Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy.

Employers specifically, may only see limited profile data for certain job seekers who have applied for one of their posted jobs. This limited profile data DOES NOT include name, phone number, e-mail address, or address. For this processing, the Employer acts as a separate Data Controller and shall comply with the provisions of the applicable legislation. The Employer may process this data for limited time and exclusively for the purpose of the Services abiding by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. CRS is not responsible for the compliance of any Employer with the applicable data protection legislation and especially the GDPR.

10.5 PROFILE ERASURE

Users have the right to delete their accounts at any time. In case of deleting your profile, CRS will delete your information immediately. Back-up copies are retained in the database of the hosting provider for 90 days before being permanently deleted. By deleting their account, the legal relationship between Users and the Website, governed by the present Terms of Use, is terminated. However, Users are still bound to these Terms for actions they performed when they were still using the Services and may produce later effects.

  1. COPYRIGHT AND TRADEMARK NOTICES

CRS is not responsible for content on websites operated by parties other than itself. The graphic logo and all other product or service names or slogans displayed on this Website are registered and are legal trademarks of CRS and/or of its suppliers or licensors, and may not be copied, imitated or used, in whole or in part, without our prior written permission or the applicable trademark holder. In addition, the design of this Website, including all page headers, custom graphics, button icons and scripts, is the trademark of CRS and its partners and may not be copied, imitated or used, in whole or in part, without our prior written permission. All the above are protected by Greek and EU copyright laws. All other trademarks, registered trademarks, product names, and company names or logos mentioned on this Website are the property of their respective owners. Reference to any products, services, processes, or other information, by trade name, trademark, manufacturer, supplier or otherwise does not constitute or imply endorsement, sponsorship, or recommendation thereof by Us. CRS, always in accordance with the principle of good faith and with the relevant transactional ethics, makes every effort to ensure that the content and information that appears each time on the platform are as accurate as possible, but does not bear any responsibility for their credibility.   1. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES; LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

We do not guarantee, represent, or warrant that your use of our Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free. We do not warrant that the results that may be obtained from the use of the service will be accurate or reliable.

You agree that from time to time we may remove the Service for indefinite periods of time or cancel the service at any time. You expressly agree that your use of, or inability to use, the service is at your sole risk. The service delivered to you through the website are (except as expressly stated by us) provided ‘as is’ and ‘as available’ for your use, without any representation, warranties, or conditions of any kind, either express or implied.   1. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Terms of Use is determined to be unlawful, void or unenforceable, such provision shall nonetheless be enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and the unenforceable portion shall be deemed to be severed from these Terms of Use. Such determination shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any other remaining provisions.

These Terms of Use are effective unless and until terminated by us. You may stop using our Website and our Service at any time if you no longer agree to these Terms.

If in our sole judgment you fail, or we suspect that you have failed, to comply with any term or provision of these Terms of Use, we also may terminate this agreement at any time without notice.

  1. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

The failure of us to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. These Terms of Use and any policies or operating rules posted by us on this website or in respect to the Service constitutes the entire agreement and understanding between you and us and govern your use of the Service, superseding any prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications and proposals, whether oral or written, between you and us (including, but not limited to, any prior versions of the Terms of Use).
